Tzatziki, also known as caciki or tarator, or is often served on the table as an appetizer in Southeast European and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Salted strained yogurt or diluted with cucumber, garlic, salt, olive oil, sometimes vinegar or lemon juice mixed with herbs such as dill, mint, parsley and thyme. It is made from yogurt. They are also called Tzatziki sauce and Tzatziki dip. This wonderful flavor will bring a wonderful taste to your table.
Ingredients of Tzatziki (Caciki)
Cucumber - 2
Strained yogurt - 400 g
Salt - 1 pinch
Pepper - 1 pinch
Garlic - 1/3 clove
Vinegar - 3 tbsp
Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Dill - 1/4 bunch
How to make Tzatziki (Caciki)
Peel the cucumber and grate with a cheese grater in a bowl. Squeeze the cucumber with your hands to release any remaining liquid.
In the meantime, combine the yogurt, salt, pepper, garlic clove (minced), white wine vinegar (If you do not like the taste of vinegar, you can use less), olive oil. Mix them until combined and creamy.
Add the cucumber to the yogurt mixture.
Stir into mixture. Add pepper and adjust salt according to taste.
Add some finely chopped dill and your sauce is ready.
